Weightless

Well on friday, we went in for another ultrasound. Yes, I said we. Josie and the kids came for this family affair. It was Jayden's first time seeing the baby on the screen. He was so excited and squealed when he got to hear the heartbeat of his baby brother again. Measurements were taken to assess the size of Baby Wilder and amount of amniotic fluid. The MD that saw me last felt that I was measuring ahead of schedule when he took a belly measurement of the uterus. On friday, the MD thinks that the baby is measuring ahead by one and a half weeks and my fluid is on the high normal side. This is why I feel so big and have been telling my husband that this baby is bigger than his siblings. That puts my due date to August 1st according to size of the baby. A little scary when my C-section is July 31st. Praying that we don't go into labor before the scheduled date

Tonight, after the kids were sleeping, I was able to go and take a swim at our neighborhood pool by MYSELF. What a blessing. I almost forgot that I was prego while taking a few laps and walking in the water for exercise. It felt amazing to be weightless.
I have been going to the pool with Madelyn and Jayden occasionally in the mornings before our lunch time but this was so much more relaxing. It is a little challenging to keep watch over a one and two yr old in the pool. Thank goodness Jayden has been listening very well at the pool when I need to attend to Madelyn running wild.

Camping at 30 wks pregnant....

Lake Jocasse was amazing. Thanks Karla for helping us along on our last family mini vacation before Baby number 3. We appreciate her help and enjoyed the company. It was good to have time by the water and enjoy the campfire at night. The kids loved climbing over rough terrain, rocks and steps. The hike to the bathroom was not so easy for me but I made it several times. Here are a few pics.

Late blog from our visit with the Poarch family and Memorial Day weekend

The month of May has been very busy for us. We have traveled to Charleston, Baltimore and had a camping trip. We had our friends Nicky and James Poarch visit (missionaries from Indonesia) and took a camping trip with Karla and our friends the Glinistys. Here are some pics from our time with the Poarchs, flowers from our backyard, time at the pool on Memorial day weekend, Mady enjoying corn on the cob (one of her fav foods-like mama).

Back from Maryland

It is great to be back in South Carolina but boy did we have a great trip to Maryland. The wedding was awesome. Rosella and Micheal shined on their special day. Jayden and Madelyn enjoyed seeing their grandparents at the wedding and loved playing with Caden and Kiersten (our friends children in Lusby MD). Reese and Christina allowed us to stay with them in their beautiful home on the water. Josie and I love going to visit with them, as soon as you enter their home, you feel at peace. They are such great friends. Thanks for the wonderful visit. Here are a few pics of the weekend.

On another note: FYI: Jayden is doing great with potty training. I am so proud of him for the progress over a long car ride. We don't leave home without his little potty. Yeah! I am so hoping he continues to succeed. It would be great to have him out of diapers when his little brother arrives. We went out and bought him Cars underwear today for an incentive.

Baltimore....or Bust

I am excited for another trip with the family. We are headed to Baltimore for my friend, Rosella's wedding. So happy for her that she found her Mr. Right. I love seeing couples in love, share their vows before God and family/friends. We will be driving early friday morning and hopefully arrive around dinner time. The wedding is on Sat. morning and then Saturday evening we will head to our friends Reese and Christina's house in Solomon's Island Maryland (about 2 hrs from Baltimore). Hope the kids do well for the ride. We are excited to see our friends and I am looking forward to a break from routine.

Trip to Charleston SC

We spent this weekend in Charleston visiting family and sight seeing. We took a quick visit to the beach before returning home. It was so great to get away together. Thanks Josie for making this weekend so fun. Here are some pictures of our visit with grandparents, eating gelato, Folly beach, and Charles Towne Landing.

Shaving at 2 years old ?

Jayden and Madelyn played with animal figurines in shaving cream last week. Mady attended for about ten minutes and then was off to play in the sand box and then the swings and then with balls. She doesn't stay still for long. Jayden played for 30 minutes and ended with shaving cream smeared to his elbows. He loved the feeling of it.
