Last weekend

Here are some pictures of Jayden and Madelyn's weekend at Monkey's Joes (inflatable jump zone) and then time with their first cousin, Elijah. He came to visit with their grandparents and we had a fabulous time. We played in the backyard while grilling out and then went out to Rita's for custard and italian ice.

A perfect Monday

Loving living in South Carolina...Today was a beautiful day .... in the low 70s. We enjoyed a morning out with Upstate Christian Moms group. We went downtown to feed the ducks and picnic by the Falls Park. Here are pics from the day's outing.

It's a BOY

As Jayden had already determined....today's ultrasound confirms that we are having a boy. Jayden seems to be very excited. He wanted to tell several people today that we are having a boy. I know he will be a great big brother. Can't wait to see how Madelyn responds to having another brother. She loves her older brother and so it will be neat to see how this baby boy blends into our growing family. We feel so very blessed with the news. I can't wait to meet him.
He is kicking like crazy now. I can now see the kicks through my stomach without putting my hand on my stomach.
My due date is Aug 9 by calendar, ultrasound says Aug 5th and so the C-section will be scheduled most likely on July 31st.

What a few days. Well we thought that Josie had food poisoning last week. It was actually a stomach virus...that eventually hit us all. Yesterday I was telling Josie that I was the last one standing. Until 4 am this morning. All day I was trying to recover from the virus that I had been cleaning up after for the last few days. Icky laundry from Jayden and Madelyn being sick.
The blessings from this illenss are: Madelyn enjoyed her birthday and didn't get sick until 11 pm on her birthday night, an awesome husband who totally cared for our two children today while I recovered with multiple baths and naps throughout the day. A friend and neighbor (Nicollette) who came at a perfect timing to help with Madelyn while Josie and I were caring for Jayden and cleaning carpet and couch after Jayden's first sick episode. And then today she graciously stopped at the store and bought us some yummy JELLO. This felt so good on my tummy and the rest of the family enjoyed it as well for dinner. Hoping that tomorrow is a brighter day.

Only two days until we know what gender this thumper is inside my belly. The baby is kicking quite often...Josie can also now feel it move.

Aftermath....of the Princess Party

Well, this morning we are all recovering from Mady's awesome party. Apparently she partied too hard and ate way to much cake. We were up half the night with our sweet angel. She lost everything that went into her little belly on her birthday. She is feeling okay this morning but was eager to go back to bed after only being awake for an hour. Her body is probably pretty soar from last nights illnesses. Hopefully she will pick up again and feel up to playing with her new toys later today. Here are a few pics from my camera. Happy 1st Birthday Princess

We had a fabulous 1st birthday celebration with Madelyn. She was in great spirits from the moment she woke up. She saw her daddy wishing her a happy birthday and immediately wanted to be in his arms. She enjoyed smearing cake with her hands, opening many cute girly gifts and had a blast with all the fun friends that were able to join us for the get together. I think she truly felt like a princess. Pictures to come.....It is late and I'm a bit tired

PS Enjoying feeling the baby kick like crazy after all the sugar from the birthday celebration. I think the baby is celebrating Madelyn's birthday too....
