Time flies when you are having fun!

Picture of Jayden and Madelyn's apple tree. Jayden used scissors to cut out the leaves for the tree and Madelyn and Jayden helped to glue the apples, leaves and clouds to the picture.
I know I haven't blogged in some time...Facebook can be addicting and time is going so fast with three little ones running around. Jayden turned three years old this week. Adrian is now 11 1/2 weeks old and Madelyn (our sweet princess in the middle)is now 18 months old.

Here is just a few of the things they can do now-
Adrian:
Holds his head up for 30 sec to a minute in tummy time for five minutes of tummy time until he screams to be rolled over.
Loves the swing
Holds your finger
Grabs for toys, and pulls a blanket to his face
Bats at toys in the play activity mat
Loves to watch his sister and brother fly around him
Laughs at us when we make funny faces

Madelyn:
Falls a lot
Bumps her head frequently (we've discussed getting her a helmet)
Climbs a ladder at the park
Can climb into a bucket swing from an adjacent swing and back out on her own
Sleeps in her big girl bed now
NO MORE PACY
Jumps with two feet
Uses three word sentences.
Tells us and Karla that she loves us constantly "Mommy,Mommy I wuv you"

Jayden:
Climbs everything
Loves to imagine and pretend about being a pirate, seeing lizards, riding on a boat etc etc
Teaches his sister all sorts of things and quizzes her on her shapes and colors
Rides a scooter and tricycle
Slides down a pole at the park
Enjoys playing with his Thomas the Train set
Cuts with scissors, loves to paint and color with markers

Sorry to bore those of you who are not therapists....just kiddin'
I like to update those who don't get to see us as often. I am enjoying and feel very blessed to get the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and am thankful for each precious moment I get to spend with my children.

Raising Butterflies

I found this on another blog site... Thought that I would share with you because it was an inspiration to me.

Children, like butterflies, are exquisitely delicate creatures of God. When raising them, care must be taken to give guidance and correction without bruising the fragile wings. A healthy specimen will show alertness, and will fly about exploring and reveling in the surrounding environment, pausing now and then for a rest or a popsicle, before flitting off again in delightful curiosity.

100 Posts, 1 Awesome Husband, 3 children under 3 years old, and 2 Amazing Sisters

I just realized that I have posted 100 posts here on blogger. Yeah! I can't believe how time flies when you are having fun. So I decided to write about what I am so thankful for.
I feel so blessed to have three beautiful children and am so very thankful for a husband and sisters who are helping me make it through this week. Josie has been so supportive this week. It has been a little crazy with a routine schedule and then our HVAC system leaking into the ceiling of Jayden and Mady's bedroom. Thanks Josie for dealing with this issue and for holding me up through the night and day with your endless love.
Kristin and her baby Bryce are in town this week. We are having a great time but are quite busy with four children under three in the house. As you can imagine, there is never a dull moment. My sister, Karla has also joined us several evenings and we appreciate her taking time to be with us. We look forward to Matt flying in on Thursday to spend a few days with us. I will post pics soon of the kids playing with their cousin Bryce.

One month gone in a flash....

I can't believe that Adrian has been a part of our family for four weeks today. It feels like I just had him and cannot believe we are almost into September. Today was a good day. Adrian is learning his Babywise schedule of Eat, Play, then Sleep (to those who do not know of this book-it is so helpful for getting your baby to sleep thru the night).
Yesterday, The Fabuluous Five had our first outing involving a car trip. We left at 9am to head to the mtns. Josie had the day off so we decided to take the kids to see some waterfalls. The day was not well planned and so 30 mins into the trip we realized we had left home without size 4 diapers= those needed for Madelyn, no pacy=Madelyn rarely leaves home without it when teething, and no teething medicine for Madelyn-she is cutting molars this week. We feel like we are more relaxed with our third child and things are a lot less planned but I guess that means sometimes forgetting things for the middle child....ooops. The dollar store in a redneck town carried all that was needed while Josie ran thru Subway drive thru for our picnic lunch.
The shorts hikes felt good with very nice weather for the mountains. The waterfalls were beautiful with the exception of a couple bathing naked in the water below the falls. Here are some pics from our trip and from the day before at the playground and then Jayden at his first Greenville Drive-Baseball game with Daddy and his friend Sammy.

Looking forward to Kristin and Bryce coming this weekend and Matt flies in on Thursday. Can't wait to hold my nephew again...

Welcome Adrian Judah

This blog was written several days ago but interupted several times by Adrian needing to be fed or Madelyn attempting to clean my laptop with a baby wipe (which caused some temporary problems with the mouse)
Wow...how life changes when you become a family of five. I am finally getting a moment to write. I can't believe how time flies when you are having fun. We are so blessed to have so much help. When we brought Adrian home, my parents were here to help as well as my sister Karla. Then when they left, my GF -Jolinda from PA arrived. Next came Josie's mother for the weekend and next my GF from NYC was here-Colleen to help for the week. On the days in between where it was just me for the day, I was very exhausted. Last night Adrian and his siblings did much better through the night. Mommy was able to get about 2-3 hour stretches of sleep in between feedings. What a difference that makes. Gotta run.

One More Day....and...Baby Wilder will be on his way

I am so excited. My C-section is tomorrow at 8 am. I met with the MD today and he was pleased with everything. Baby's heartbeat was 140. He told us to be at the hospital at 6 am and that everything should move rather quickly. I am so happy to be first on his list. Hopefully he gets a good night sleep and has steady hands in the morning.
I am almost packed and am very eager to meet Baby Boy Wilder. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. We will post pictures as soon as we are feeling well enough. But I am sure that Karla will post pictures on her website.

Play Day

Today we decided to stay home from church. I had a good bit of contractions last night and was not feeling up to going anywhere today. Since we only have a couple days left until the baby arrives, we decided to spend some time playing with Jayden and Madelyn. We spent the morning playing T-ball, fingerpainting, playing Hide and Go Seek, doing puzzles, and jumping from pillow to pillow with pretend play in the living room. The kids loved all the fun games and just getting undivided attention from Josie and I together. It was nice to have Josie hear to help with the physical aspect of play. I was able to sit on a lawn chair and push Madelyn on the swing forever while Josie taught Jayden how to swing the bat and proper stance for his new T-ball set. It was rather cool in the morning with a nice breeze in the shade but heated up to the 90s by mid-afternoon.
My favorite new thing that Madelyn is saying is "Cuddle?". When I am sitting on the couch, she attempts to crawl up next to me and ask if she can cuddle with me....it is the sweetest thing.

One More Week....Thank God for Heaven Sent Sisters

It is so hard to imagine that in one week from today, I will be holding a newborn baby in my arms. I am so excited to meet him. I am so thankful to my sister who has helped us out so much lately. Josie has been very busy at work and at night with college work, so I have had to rely on Karla a lot lately. How blessed I am for having a sister like her nearby. She has been so helpful and the children love having her join us for family outings and dinner and bath time routines. I am moving a lot more slowly. I have another MD appointment next Thursday and then Friday we have to be at the hospital at 6 am. I am praying for a safe and healthy delivery of Baby Boy Wilder and praying that we are not bumped out of our early morning scheduled C-section time. I realize that emergencies always go ahead of the planned surgeries but I am praying that God allows no emergency situations to arise that morning. We are looking forward to having my parents come into town next week to help out and get familiar with the routine of Madelyn and Jayden again so that they are able to transition well to mommy and daddy going to the hospital for a few days. Jayden is so excited, he can hardly wait to wear his new Big Brother shirt when he comes to visit at the hospital.
Today we spent the morning lounging in the shade and playing in the yard with our friends: Sammy Jonah and Alisa. What a blessing it was to have them join us. Alisa ordered a pizza for lunch and we ate outside to cut down on mess. The kids got a lot of energy burnt off and they had a blast with their friends. Naptime could not have went any better today because Mady and Jayden crashed within 10 mins of going down. Well I need to run and get some things done before they wake from their naptime. I will attempt to blog some pics from our family outing with Karla to feed the ducks last week if I get a chance but you can check out pics on her site as well because she was the one to remember the camera ....go figure. Thanks Karla for always capturing our fun moments together. We are so happy to have you a part of our lives.

Yesterday we went to the playground after hitting up the library for another stack of books. Here is what Madelyn is learning to do from her brother.

Busy Weekend

We had a great weekend. We spent time with the kids playing and also did some preparation for the baby. I took out the infant car seat and washed it down. Now we just need to put it all back together with the buckles (this is a daddy job). We had a lot of fun at the pool. Jayden is getting more and more adventurous in the water. He does belly flops off the edge of the pool and is able to hold his breath until water for several seconds. Here's a picture or two from Sunday before church. The first is Jayden and Madelyn dancing to their Dooley TV show and then Mommy wanted a picture holding her angels before we left.

Nesting....

It is so funny how a pregnant woman feels that so many things need to be taken care of before the birth of a baby. I am trying to balance between deep cleaning of hard to reach areas and special time with Jayden and Madelyn. I guess the hormones make you kind of insane with details.
Today I had to drop off some clothes at a consignment store, vacuum out my van, scrub my bathroom from top to bottom and do several loads of laundry....But the best part of my day was stopping at the park to let Jayden and Madelyn climb, hang, slide, jump, and swing on the playground equipment. I was so happy that I stopped without planning that part of my day because we had so much fun for the hour that we spent there...And the best news was that my son was able to go potty at the restrooms without having a major accident in his pull-up. I know it sounds crazy but sometimes I feel like this potty training business consumes my life. On the days where he is successful, I feel like it is a major pick me up. He was rewarded with a Thomas the Train movie from our library. I have been borrowing about 5 movies a week from our library (2 of which he picks out for his potty rewards). This is a good motivator but ultimately I have to catch him in the act because he doesn't come and verbally tell me before his accidents. He keeps me busy guessing when that moment is going to happen.....Ugggg....I can't wait until he is independent with this part of his development.

6 lbs. 2 oz

This is the weight that the ultrasound predicted my baby boy weighs as of today. Another 25 days to go until our scheduled C-section on July 31st. His growth has slowed down since the last ultrasound and the amniotic fluid is not as high as it was, which is all a good thing. He is measuring a little bit ahead of the original due date. But he looks good. I got to see him swallowing and practicing breathing. His heartbeat was 159 and he was moving around a lot. The ultrasound tech could not believe how much hair we could see on his head (floating in the fluid). I told her that both Jayden and Madelyn came out with a good amount of hair at birth. It is hard to believe how soon we will be able to meet him. I am getting so excited to meet the little boy behind these kicks.

Fourth of July-continued....

What a fun filled day. We went to the Freedom Festival at Redemption World Outreach (our church) after the kids woke from their nap. Jayden loved riding the rides this year. Madelyn enjoy some of the rides. She was not ready for the rides that went up in the air. Fortunately, they are great their with stopping the ride when your child is screaming. Madelyn caused to rides to be stopped and then started again. Here are some pics of fun at the rides, petting Zoo and the bouncing inflatables which Jayden loves. Afterwards, we came home for watermelon and to see Josie run back and forth across the lawn to light continuous fireworks for the kids. It was a lot of fun. Both Madelyn and Jayden loved the loud fireworks the best.

Happy 4th of July

Hope you all are enjoying your Independence Day. We are having a blast and the kids are taking a great nap after time at the pool. Josie made blackberry cobbler this morning with blackberries from our garden. YUMMY! Here are some pics.

Summer heat and The Beauties

We have been enjoying the flowers in our back yard. This year, the hibiscus flowers are bigger than ever. Jayden and Madelyn are enjoying lots of time in the water and at the neighborhood playground. Here are some pics.
